Hmmm...
They could have just matched the offer to keep Coles (they get a 1st rounder in return)...Was Coles worth that salary and #13?

I understand that the Jets couldn't sign Penny and Abraham (DL) to extensions next year with that payroll to Coles, but I don't think they will trade up with two picks to get Johnson.
