SAINTS/PATRIOTS - JONES TRADE WORKED OUT
Jeff Duncan, of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, reports the New Orleans Saints and New England Patriots have agreed to terms on a trade that will send S Tebucky Jones from New England to New Orleans for a third- and seventh-round draft choice in the 2003 NFL Draft and a fourth-round pick in the 2004 NFL Draft. The Saints have two picks in both the third and seventh rounds this year, and it’s unclear which picks will be sent. An official announcement on the trade is expected to come on Monday.

The Saints keep marching.

They probably don't have enough to unseat the Bucs, but they might be a powerhouse team this year.

Agreed, great move by the Saints. This could also turn out to be pretty decent for the Patriots, too, though...

So basically he's filling in for Sammy Knight correct? Where or for that matter has Sammy signed somewhere yet?

This is a great move for the Saints the D are about one player short of makeing a lot of noise in the play-offs. They should be able to actually defend the pass this year and not give up 20+ points ever game with the addition of Jones and the other D acquistions.

And no Rook I Knight hasnt signed with anyone yet. The Dolphins and the Steelers are intrested though.

this is a great pickup for NO Knight was the best guy in their secondary and the needed to fill this hole. undoubtedly though they still need more help against the pass
