Well, Eddie George made the Dallas Cowboys final 53-man roster - barely. A PFSi source close to the Cowboys is reporting that head coach Bill Parcells strongly considered cutting George because of his poor pre-season play, but in the end decided to hold onto the RB because of his veteran leadership. According to the source, George could still start in Week 1, but only to take the pressure off of rookie Julius Jones. Jones will however get the bulk of the carries with George being used as a change of pace back and FB Richie Anderson used as the 3rd down back. (Tony Finn)
Hmm; maybe I will have to move up Julius in my rankings...I was thinking this was going to be some sort of committee, but now I suppose I can rank him with the Wheatleys and Garners of the world...
(and yes, I'm still waiting to draft because my commish is a slowpoke)

JJ went in the 6th round of my 12 teamer, by a Cowboy fan. (5 outta 12 guys are Boys fans and we all live in NY, go figure). No way he'll trade. I think JJ will be declared starter no later than after the Cowboys bye.
Word is that Parcells didn't even want George there in the first place. If you listent to the coach speak he's been giving on the entire situation, you can kind of read between the lines that George was forced on him.
