i got julius in the 6th round with the belief that george wouldn't be able to hold him off. keeping my fingers crossed as he is my third back behind alexander and c. martin. also have d. foster and have waiver bids in on lamar gordon(5th waiver position, probably not) or onterrio smith (maybe). i currently have lamont jordan who i'll drop if i get eithe gordon or o. smith.

I can't beleive that Eddie looked so bad this exhibition season. The one time I saw him he didn't seem to hit the hole hard and then falls down like he was shot.
Damn shame to see someone lose it that quickly. Ya gotta know when to hang it up, Eddie.
Sincerely,

I too nabbed JJ in the 4th round of my draft on Aug. 16th. You should have here the remarks after that move. I knew that George is not the same player of old, and took a "chance" on the rook . Plus, I drafted 12th and picked Manning and Harrison in rounds 1 and 2...so, I needed RB's BAD by then- all the other good backs were gone. I did get Wheatley in the 8th round, however !!! I hope he just works out for me until Bennett gets back .
Well, Eddie George made the Dallas Cowboys final 53-man roster - barely. A PFSi source close to the Cowboys is reporting that head coach Bill Parcells strongly considered cutting George because of his poor pre-season play, but in the end decided to hold onto the RB because of his veteran leadership. According to the source, George could still start in Week 1, but only to take the pressure off of rookie Julius Jones. Jones will however get the bulk of the carries with George being used as a change of pace back and FB Richie Anderson used as the 3rd down back. (Tony Finn)
