anyone think gordon can put up comparable numbers to ricky's last year? if so i think he could be a decent #2 and that way i could trade away tiki fumblitis barber

Or maybe its because Marshall Faulk is a lock for the hall of fame and Steven Jackson is one of the best rookie backs this year?
I'm not that disappointed that I didn't get him. I don't expect him to do that well. It'll take him a little while to get adjusted to the offense. Plus the line is kinda shaky. Still...always good to have a No. 1 RB as a backup if possible.

I wouldn't expect Ricky William's type numbers. If the guy was Ricky Williams, he'd be......well I guess he'd be smokin' a fat one in a grass hut in Timbuktu. I would expect he will be a possible #3 at best.

This sucks.
First of all, Gordon is a quality back. He was drafted in the 3rd Rd, and has proven to be better than where he was taken. He has immense talent, and is a great outside rusher. The only major concern with him is his durability. Also, the Phins were in such a desperate situation that I think the Rams could have easily eeked out more than a 3rd rounder. Not to mentino the fact that he was so cheap, something like 350 K. Gordon will be missed.
Now fantasy wise.... I drafted Gordon in two leagues knowing he was the backup. But due to Jackson's great performance and Gordon's injuries he was demoted. I figured that he was useless at that point, so naturally I dropped him. Now today rolls along, the first day of school. The first day I don't have computer access in the morning. I come home, see this, and he is already taken in all of my leagues.
Damn you elementary school!!! I don't get computer access until almost 5 pm!!! I was snoozing at 5 am when he was picked up in my one money league, but not a huge blow. Still, damn to you who picked him up when I was at school!!!! Damn you!!!
I'm ok now

obviously he should be behind faulk, but to put a rookie in front of him, especially when the rookie was a holdout initially, says alot to me. dont get me wrong, i would pick him up if i had roster room, but i expect more of a rbbc approach since gordon has not proven he can be a 25 carry a game back.
