Why Do I Have Curtis Martin?

Postby STLCover2 » Wed Sep 08, 2004 10:14 am

Somehow, I ended up drafting C-Mart in two leagues. He just happened to be the best RB sitting around in the 4th round each time. I look at this guy's numbers, and I'm confused. He ALWAYS rushes for over 1000 yards, but has like 2 TDs. What's the deal? Is he too small for goalline carries? Might that all change this year, now that the Jets have a nice passing attack?

with pennington all year and another decent recieving threat in mceirrens, i think martin should be better than last year in rushing. TD's are always a crapshoot, but i do expect him to get more than last year. 5-7 or so
It doesn't need to be in good taste, so long as it tastes good

I think he may surprise everyone this year. I'm starting him, but I have a definite Plan B (and C) if it starts to look like last year.

I agree. Curtis Martin is primed for a very solid season with Penington at Qb for a full season. In addition it appears that lamont Jordan will not get as many goal line carries. I drafted Martin in the 6th rd as a ;-D bye week replacement, and I feel he may be a very serviceable number 2 this year.

I've got Martin as my #2 right now also. But I've also got Q Griffin looking to be my #2 also. I think right now, this will be my weekly choice...who to go #2

Martin is a pretty solid #3 and a good spot start through the season. The TDs should come back with Penny being in the lineup. The days of him carrying a team are over, but he can still produce.
