Frank Sanders a Raven

Postby Nero » Thu Apr 17, 2003 4:05 am

In an effort to shore up their thin wide receiver position, the Ravens have signed free agent Frank Sanders to a four-year contract, according to ESPN.com. The move means that Sanders will start opposite Travis Taylor. And it further compounds Arizona's problems at his position. The Cardinals had hoped to keep Sanders, but have now lost their top three receivers from lsat year.

Tell me again...who is Blake going to throw too? How is Emmitt going to gain any yards in AZ?

He's going to see 15 man defensive fronts now ;)

My new Emmitt estimation

245 carries - 97 yards

245 carries - 97 yards

Is that a plus 97 or minus 97 yards?

In either case - I'm LOL.

I think AZ's offense will be a mess in 2003, but they must have a master plan in place (not that it will work).

This is a real mess that the Cards have gotten themselves into. Not one quality WR on the roster who is Blake going to throw to?

I have my money on Freddie Jones...............lol that is very sad.
If your league gives points for catches Jones might be a good pick up Blake will have no one to throw to deep or medium and will have to check down on every down Jones could get 100 catches but for only 500 yrds.

Sanders on the other hand went from the toilet in to the sewer at least he would have someone to throw to him in AZ in Balt he has a back injuried back-up

Bring back Elvis!!!!! Hell Dilfer looks pretty good right now guess we shouldnt have cut him too.

Who will Blake throw to?

Looks like some rookie is going to get a trial by fire, unless there's a draft day deal for a veteran.

Have any of these teams tried to get Ron Dixon? I really liked him last year and can't help wondering if he might be someone's answer to WR woes ... not really familiar with restricted free agency though. Would it be tough to get him away from NYG?

Can we safely say now that Cincy is no longer the laughingstock team of the NFL?

I can't think of a team more poorly managed at this point...they signed a QB...ok..they needed one..

but to spend cash on another RB when they have a more than viable one in Shipp just seems OUTRAGEOUS to me...

Why weren't they in the hunt for Price or Coles?

they're what....17 million under the cap?
