I read alot about him in this forum. Everyone says he is the next elite QB. Why?

He's got the tools and the ability to post big numbers. Plus a good young nucleus of Andre Johnson & Dom Davis gives him some weapons.

What they said. Of course this is all based on the flimsy premise that he lives through the sieve like tendancies of his O-line.

Ditto to what everyone said already. I will say though, the o-line was much improved last season and should continue to get better as time goes on. The team sack total was down trememdously last year.

i guess i'm not as high on him as anyone else...he wouldn't be my first QB, but i wouldn't lose sleep over him as my backup

the reason his numbers last year were anywhere near respectable was because of garbage yards while playing catch up. That said, he will continue to develop as long as he has solid skill players around him but you almost want Houston to continue to give up a lot of points so that he can put up numbers. This is a tenuous way to go about relying on him as a starter but this is what I am hoping for with Andre Johnson.
