Fantasy Football and College

I'm applying for college (University of Florida) and when it asks about your hobbies and explains why you like it and the benefits, I want to list fantasy football as one of them but how would i spin it as educationally beneficial?

hmm builds people skills. the strategizing is beneficial in life? requires dedication and hard work. thats all I can really think of.

Knowledge of statistics and their application. Attention to detail. Infinite patience.

an eye and appetite for research. processing information to make it useable and relevant. you can also even consider that it requires a talent for statistics and basic economics. In my opinion, supply and demand is along the same lines as finding sleepers in late rounds.

Not only wise, but also my best decision. The school has an agreement with my high school that the top 5 kids (not 5%) who get accepted get a full scholarship to UF and I happen to fall into that grouping (I'm #2 based on the way UF rates our GPAs).

Definitely play the statistics, research and math elements of it all. See if you can demonstrate how projections are done. Its quite a complicated thing.

If you are #2 in GPA for your class, then I'd say that you don't have too much to worry about!

Full scholarship= very, very nice.
