Where will McGahee end up??

Postby VIPER » Tue Apr 22, 2003 3:54 pm

At long last, McGahee had his workout on April 22. Among those in attendance were coaches and scouts from the Texans, Titans, Steelers, Buccaneers, Saints, Ravens, Chiefs, Raiders and Eagles. In addition, the Patriots, 49ers and Redskins requested tapes of the workout.

McGahee did 26 bench presses at 230 pounds, not the usual 225, and he also did some squats. He then ran two 50-yard dashes at what was termed about "80 percent healthy," but those times are not available, nor should they be legitimate because he wasn't running at 100 percent. He also caught 60 passes from Todd Sievers (the Hurricanes' kicker), where he ran a few routes, but mostly caught them sideways and over his head. He'll have an interesting Draft Day.

Wonder how high he will go?? ;-7

19th with the Pats... unfortunately :(

I'm a Pats fan; I'd rather have Suggs or Musa or Onterrio Smith.

I swear it is amzing what he is already doing on that leg. Unbelievable.

Not to mention that he appears pretty damn strong as well. 26 reps at 230 pounds :-o Holy shceist!!

We all know he's fast as hell assuming he regains his form when healthy. It will be interesting to see where he goes.

I saw the clips of him doing that work out !!!!!!!! All i can say is im STUNNED ! never seen anything like it. Four months of rehab and he is able to do that.

Maybe he will be the exception to the rule. If my draft were this weekend I wouldnt be afraid of picking him up.

If I had to pick a team to take him... The Bills.

You heard it here first.

Look for him to go in the early-middle of the 1st round. Trust me on this...

I think the Pats will get him at either 14 or 19...unless the Raiders trade down to get him!

Many of the 'experts' are predicting he'll go to the Raiders. He'd make a better 1st round pick than Janakowski. Hehe.

I read a 'rumor' yesterday, and I don't remember where, so I'll look for it some today, that a team that has two late first round picks is looking to trade up in the draft to get ahead of the Patriots, because they feel that the Patriots will take him, and they really want him.

I don't believe he will last past the 14th pick of the nfl draft. I have the third pick in a dynasty league, and I am thinking of taking him with that pick (I am pretty weak at RB, and willing to take the chance!)!
