this leads you to think: do you think this guy "leaked" this fake story just to snag portis a few rounds later in his draft? if so, he could have gotten a game-breaking team.

Im guessing Devaney doesn't have a job with sportsline anymore. In the words of Donald Trump, "You're fired."

My buddy told me at the gym 2day that he heard Portis was out 8-12 weeks. I told him he was crazy.

I guess we we're both right. ;-)

No sympathy for the guys who jettisoned a warm body for Betts or Cartwright. I was desperate enough last year to run Betts and Rock for a week or two each in deep leagues. It won't happen again. They blow.....maybe not like McGahee, but they blow, nonetheless.

ummm WRONG! maybe not #1 or #2 starters, but betts will be a good fill in if you need him to cover a bye week or replace for an injured player. If you try to value the running backs of the redskins based on last year you're only fooling yourself, couple of reasons:
1. it was pass based offense
2. spurrier sucked :-t

that other website blows . . . KUDOS to the crew here ;-D

Steve Czaban was talking about this story at the start of his radio show last night. He pointed out the obvious fantasty implications but also something that I didn't think of immediately which was the Vegas affect. Apparently as soon as this was announced, the line on the game dropped by one point, WASH favored by 1 instead of 2. Doesn't sound like much but could cost millions.
