Hard Stat to Find

Postby BigMusky » Fri Sep 10, 2004 8:43 am

can someone tell me how many times Harrison and Wayne were thrown to in the game last night? I really would rather not go through a play by play game log and count, where can you find this?

I counted it up for ya BM.

Wayne was thrown to 8 times - 6 times in the 2nd half where he didnt catch a ball. He ended the game with one catch.

Marvelous was thrown to 10 times

Stokely was thrown to 5 or 6 times.

thanks ....but I thought ESPN used to post how many times a player was targetted per game. I remember seeing that stat somewhere because I was always amazed how TO (who I owned last year) was getting thrown to so much and not catching crap :)

there is a link around here somewhere for passes thrown to, but it was a yearly total - not game by game. I dont even know where the link for it is though. I do know Torry Holt led the league in that cat last yr - by a lot.

thanks for that link Paladyr.

Im kinda confused, because NFL.com has wayne listed as being thrown to 8 times not 7 - I simply counted the play by plays. :-?

Damn right! Dont settle for the bottom line - understand why!

Dont know if you caught this from yesterday or not, but I went back and checked Julie Jones preseason stats - something like 30 carries 140 or so yds - pretty decent numbers. That is, until you look at what he did in the first half - against 1st string Ds: 6 carries, 9 yds, and a fumble. 8-o
