Charlie Garner predictions

Postby philcore » Fri Sep 10, 2004 10:59 am

Does anyone think he will do anything this year? The 1st week he plays WA but there d is weak except for the 1 man who could stop garner, Arrington.

Garner has been hurt recently but seems ok. I think he could be good in TB. O-line is decent and he's back with Gruden who loved him. There also is no backup other than alstott who is coming off real bad injury.

I think Garner will have nice yardage numbers this year, but I'd worry about his TD production. They will probably use Alstott in the goal line role.
"Sometime during the Pats game last week, I decided that Tomlinson was the best overall running back of my lifetime. There's nothing he can't do: deadly receiver, tough inside runner, explosive to the outside, you name it." - ESPN's Bill Simmons

In addition to being the #1 RB, Garner will be used extensively in the passing game. He will lose goal line carries to Alstott. I don't think Pittman will be a problem. I'm thinking 800 rushing yards, plus 50-60 catches for around 400-450 yards. Maybe 5 tds combined.
