yea last night we had a pretty nice amount of people, it was funny watching the game and then seeing the everyone comment on it immediately afterward. Like the Vick comparisons after Peyton's great rushing plays.

Titans-Dolphins Chicago

Postby hammerwx » Sat Sep 11, 2004 8:27 am

I have seen nothing that would indicate that WBBM Chicago will be broadcasting the Dolphins-Titans game. To the best of my knowledge, CBS affiliates outside of the S. Florida/Tennessee markets are committed to cover the US Open.

Does anyone have any good info on if the game will be on NFL Ticket? Will it only be on tape delayed Sunday? If so, why?

Checked Saturday papers, WBBM website and all indicate US Open coverage. I wish the game were on locally, I just don't think WBBM can or will bail on the US Open. NFL would be so much better than tennis. Ugh.

The CBS reference was probably just an indicaton which network had rights to the coverage. Nothing in today's trib/sun times.

Only chance I think is NFL ticket. Does anyone know the real scoop on NFL ticket coverage????

I've heard it's a nationwide blackout, including NFL Sunday Ticket.

Not totally sure, though.

It will be broadcast on radio.

Upon further searching:

The sold-out game will be televised live in the Miami and Tennessee home territories by CBS. Live game audio will be available on NFL.com. The game can be seen outside of the Miami and Tennessee markets via NFL's Sunday Ticket on DirecTV on a delayed basis on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.

i went to espn.com and looked at the miami-tenn game and it says there it will be on cbs.......i'm also from the chicago area......

if they do show golf i think that would be a stupid move....they would be the only station showing football....everyone would watch....sorry to all those dads, but golf better be cancelled.

this is from espn.com

that sucks. i understand only the local markets getting the game on CBS, but why blackout NFL ticket, direct TV. Wasn't the idea NFL ticket to be able to get EVERY game live?

Anobody know the reasoning behind the ticket blackout?

It's on an hour tape-delay according to DirecTV.

I agree, what in the hell is up with that!??!?!

I mean this is OPENING weekend folks!
