Hate to admit it, but this would be my vote.

Denver's offensive line seems to get a lot of attention for being dirty. I'm suprised nobody mentioned them yet.

Kevin Gogan was also a prettty notoriously dirty player in his day.

No question, Romanowksi deserves to be on the list. I've never seen someone quite like the freak that he is. Too bad he had to end his career on such a down note.

I wouldn't neccesarily call Tatum dirty. He would knock your dick in the dirt, but he did it straight up. The tragic injury he inflicted on Darryl Stingley aside ... he was a bigtime hitter. That was before helmet to helmet rules and about the time they put dresses on QB's.
He has a great book you can get at most libraries called "They Call Me Assassin" ... nice stuff.
Dobler, Dexter Coakley, and even the Denver line pale in comparison to Romo - he is a psycho.

Ted Hendricks with his ever-present cast (club), I agree with Grogan, and the Tuuz could be thuggish. If you asked Joe Namath, he would say Ben Davidson was not nearly as kissable as Suzy Kolber.
Whoa ... all Raiders. Imagine that But Tatum ... no. He did his job and ruled the middle.

Romanowski was bad,but how about some of the older guys like Butkus and Nitschke?I understand they weren't very good about playing with others.

This isn't even close Conrad Dobler wins by a mile. Anyone who punches "Mean Joe" Greene and kicks Merlin Olson in the head gets my vote.
