Chris Brown VS Tiki Barber

Postby superNYGfan » Sat Sep 11, 2004 11:07 am

Hey Guys....I am new to this site but I have been playing FF since 1997. Well here is week one and I have a tough decision....WHo would you play this week as your #2 RB? Chris Brown of the Titans or Tiki Barber? My #1 RB is Shaun Alexander so there is no question there. What do you guys think? Chris is playing for the better team but the Eagles run defense has a lot of questions and Tiki always seems to come up big against them. I await your infinite wisdon........

RB - Alexander, Barber, C. Martin
WR -M. Harrison, Rod Smith, B. Stokely, Donald Driver, Az-Hakim

wrong forum, this belongs in the who to start/bench forum

But since you are a new here I will cut you some slack. :-)

Both of them face pretty tough Ds, Miami and Philly. Go with C Brown in this situation, he is will be a much better option than Tiki in most cases. ;-D

And welcome to the cafe.

If it's a TD-heavy league I'd start Brown. If it's yardage-friendly then start Tiki because you're right he absolutely owns Philadelphia.

I'd say Brown this week of the 2 as well. They've got to move the ball somehow, it'll be on his legs.

At least he punked after getting me a bonus for 100 yards.

Tiki Barber could fumble the ball, check to see if you lose points for fumbles. Also, Tiki doesn't get the red zone carries.

Brown should be a better start, plus less anxiety!

Brown is on a better team/is a better player/and is going to get goalline carries any questions.

The question was who should he start week one. The last two posters are giving advice after the fact. Despite hindsight being 20/20, I think you guys are off the mark. I think Barber will gain more than 105 total yards tommorow. ;-)
