Fantasy Defenses...

Which teams will provide the best fantasy defenses in 2003 outside of Tampa Bay and Philly? Will Buffalo's defense be a force or another pushover? Which will be the top five fantasy defenses in 2003?

I know it doesn't really answer your question, but defenses are so unpredictable that unless I land Tampa, I probably won't draft a defense until the final round of the draft.

You are right 9er Defenses are very unpredictable but outside of the obvious TB, Philly, and Miami

Baltimore is looking really good
Carolina wasnt great against the pass last year but fantasy wise they are looking good with all there players returning from last year
I like the Jags as a very solid sleeper that front 7 is outstanding

I little tip for everyone when drafting team D since the fastest way to lose points with D is yrds against and the fastest way for an O to rack-up yards is with the pass therefore when drafting look for teams that play the pass well and that usually translates in to sacks and int's as well

Miami
Baltimore
Carolina
New England

I did very well for myself by focusing on matchups, rather than sticking with one Defense. Last season anyone playing Houston was a legitimate team D.

I agree with the majority.

Like to add, I played defence by committee last year and it worked wonders for me. There are always D's to pick up each week and some face obviously weaker opponents.

Its not for everyone, but worked for me.

I like the Steelers D this year.
