What do you feel about morten andersen. I think it's good. He's obviously more accurate than elling. Elling had more power... i don't see andersen making 45+ FGs...

Distance means nothing if you can't put it through the uprights.

Looks like Mort's still got a little left in the tank. ;-D

Did you guys see his kickoff? It went to the 30. :-o Why was he out there 8-o ?

Got a good laugh when I saw Gary Anderson come out of retirement and sign with the Titans after Morten signed with the Vikes....I think he felt his records were in jeopardy! :-b

Lol, you could have a point there budman. I think Mort will be a great kicker for us. He doesn't have quite the leg Elling has, but what good does a leg that can kick 50 yard do ya if you can't kick a 25 yarder through the uprights? Rumor is that we're gonna bring Elling back anyway to kickoff. As much as I don't like having 3 kickers on the roster it wouldn't be a bad strategy.

Considering that we play a lot of games indoors, it may not be a bad strategy at all. It would be a shame if we can't use that to our advantage.
