Did a TE for San diego have a good game?

Postby Birdman » Sun Sep 12, 2004 7:07 pm

I just heard something on sportcenter about a TE in San diego having a good game. I lost Kleinsasser today and need a backup.

Yep.

And in an incredibly genius coaching move, I kept him on the bench.....

Gates is my semi-sleeper of the year... dropped Shockey in a keeper league to draft him. A TD woulda been sweet, however.

12 team, H2H, hyper-performance, keeper (5)
Start 9: QB, 1/2RB, 2/3/4WR, 1/2TE, K, D/ST --

DelHomme, Maddox
Deuce, Rudi J., Moe Will, Bell, Perry, Scobey
CJ, C-Rog, Plaxico, Wayne, McCants
Gates
Akers, Elam

if your league is 8+ deep Gates should be gone already. But still you never know. Antonio Gates

I would not be shocked if Gates was top 3, maybe even ahead of Shockey. Drew Brees has clearly found his targets, and Brees looks very sharp this year so far. A TD would have been nice, but 12 points from a TE without any TDs is still pretty good.

Gates looked solid. I guess who else do they have to throw to?

LDT, but in terms of real WRs Caldwell and Parker, but they only seem to be used for big plays, while all the ones that were needed for 1sts and other short plays were to Gates

Can you imagine if Gates had played college football? He would be amazing in the NFL!
