does anyone care that his two big games (preseason does not count) were against the Chiefs this year and Colts from last year. Two of the worst defenses in the NFL? I am only making the point that I am not on the bandwagon yet even though he has looked good. There is still the question of Tatum Bell emerging later in the season. I know he has not done anything to this point, but he missed alot of camp and is just a rookie. I am not so concerned with his size and injury because anyone can get injured at anytime. Am I the only one hesitant of this guy or should i just accept that he will be a top 10 back
Im in the same boat as you and I just don't feel Griffin will keep it up, its just a gut feeling, probably wrong but it's the way I feel. If he gets >100 next week against Jaguars I'll believe he's a top 10 back but I can't see him doing that.
The guy who owns him in my league has been offered Rudi J., Stephen Davis, and Justin Fargas for him, and his team is VERY thin at RB (#2 is Tyrone Wheatley), yet he's so enamored w/ Q that he's probably not going to do it. I'd like to see Q do something against a good run defense before I put him in the top ten though.
Yeah I wish I had Griffin. He will be ok, but boy is he overvalued. Let's not forget how pathetic the Chiefs defense was last year, and they didn't look much better this year.
Griffin will be a good rb, but he will definetely come back to earth. That was definetely his best game of the year.
Have you guys not watched football for last 10 years? Davis, Anderson, Gary, Portis......its a great system for RBs. Griffin is a quick back that is a lot stronger than people give him credit for. Bell is a rookie who has missed time already and found himself in Shanahan's doghouse. You guys will look back in about 10 weeks and wished you had Griffin. I'm not saying I wouldn't trade him for Randy Moss, but I think that's probably unrealistic even after his outburst week.
