Way too early to panic. I feel for you (I just got Smith in a trade on Friday). Wait and see what the prognosis is first.
Smith underwent surgery this morning, but has not been ruled out for the season. Optimistic estimates run from eight-to-twelve weeks. This is an injury similar to that of Mike Vick '03.
Rookie wideout Keary Colbert is expected to make his first NFL start on Sunday, in Smith's place.
10-team keeper league -------------------------- QB- Hasselbeck, Harrington, eManning RB- LT, Barlow, Griffin WR- cJohnson, sSmith, jWalker, Lloyd TE- Winslow, Smith K- Vinateri, Mare DST- Philadelhia, Jax
Its funny how the monkey looks to be pointing at his name in anguish.
But on a darker note..... . Smith was an important part of my team. I was really high on him and was tryin to target him in every draft, thankfully I only got him once.
8 to 12 weeks is a long time. I am starting to think keeping Smith in a redraft league may be a bad idea. So what is everybodys verdict? Should owners cut Smith?

I'll probably cut him (but I'm also hanging on to A. Boldin and am having a hard time justifying keeping both him and Smith on my roster).
