Faulk, Did I Do Good???????

Postby Fakker » Thu Sep 12, 2002 3:52 am

I just made a trade for M. Faulk, first my team pre trade:

Bledsoe/Testaverde
Owens/Moulds/Price/Gardner/JJ Stokes
R. Williams/Henry/Barlow/hambrick
Franks

I traded Owens/Williams/Franks for Faulk/Canidate/Conwell

What do you think, did i improve my team? Run myself to thin? Are there other trades you think i should make???Any comments or suggestions greatly appreciated. ;-D or :-t

Looks like a pretty even deal to me. The main gamble on your team (will Barlow/Hambrick be starting by the second half of the season?) remains unchnged, and you've become even more dependent on the Bills' passing game while adding the premier fantasy football RB.

I think that overall, your team is about as strong as it was before, but I still like the trade you made. There are two further moves you could make now to improve your position based on this trade:

Diversify your passing attack: if you can deal one or two of Bledsoe/Moulds/Price for players of equal value, you'll have less eggs in one basket.

Try to pick up a full-time starting RB for Barlow/Hambrick.

Your team looks good, and with a couple of moves, you could become the team to beat in your league...

I think it was a good trade. The only problem is that Ricky Williams is going to tear teams up this year, and not just Detroit. I agree with Arlo on trying to send off Price or Moulds for someone who is equal but just not a Bill.

Sorry dude, he got the best of you!!!!

He got a stud receiver, stud RB and an average TE.

You got a stud RB, a backup that does you no good unless your stud goes down and an average TE.

Its clear to see that if Williams goes down he still has Owens to pick up the slack. If Faulk goes down you have a fumble prone backup that almost lost the #2 spot to Lamar Gordon.

Don't get me wrong Faulk is top notch. But you gave up to much.

Any way you can get Faulk without trading half your team is at least a fair deal. I like this trade, but I agree you have to diversify and ship a couple of the bills away. Faulk will keep you in it though, no matter what anyone else does.
