Man, I wish you could have bought stock in fantasy football interest back when I got started in '95. Like many of the other posters, I'm a late 20's guy whose been doing this stuff for the better part of a decade.

The exponential growth of fantasy football has just been amazing, and I don't know if it's peaked yet. Since not many people make their living at it (just a overwhelming freetime-eating hobby for most of us), it hasn't really suffered a backlash. Well, except maybe from my wife :)

I just wish bill winkenbach could see what he has done to my family. It would bring a tear to his eye. My dad, brothers, and I watching a colts game my dad screaming at the TV telling Manning to quit being a selfish bastard and just hand the ball of to the edge. My younger brother yelling at manning to throw the ball to everyone but harrsion (His team playing my team) me screeming to throw the damn ball to harrison the other receivers suck and should just stay off the field, My other brother screaming at us to change the damn channel to the broncos game, and all the while none of us caring who wins the real nfl games.

can i get a tissue i'm still emocional about it.

Very nice read, guys, thanks a million. And I feel your pain, hwaterboys; I have 5 brothers and we're all the exact same way. Praise God for DirecTV and NFL Sunday Ticket. Just think about how much money Bill Winkenbach would have had had he patented/trademarked his little pet game. Geez; it would be enough to make a grown man cry. I hope he's having fun in FFL Heaven.
Winning truely IS everything.
