Looking For A Free Fantasy Football League to Join....

Postby joe_montana » Mon May 19, 2003 6:44 pm

Looking to join a free fantasy league as soon as posible. Points, H2H, or Roto, Keeper, Dynasty, or single season, I don't care. Let me know if you have an idea where I could find a league...

Nobody is sure if Yahoo will be free again this year, but if it is then check them out. I've played in their free leagues for years and loved it. A cool thing about Yahoo leagues is that you can look for private leagues with similar interests and setups like you want, too. If you don't want to do that then you can just join a public league if you don't mind the lack of communication.

Yahoo

Postby stoxman » Sun May 25, 2003 5:55 pm

Yahoo is fine and I've cut my teeth there with several leagues. Some were good, other's ok and some were just HORRIBLE. I think you get what you pay for. Plenty of dropouts, quitters, team dumpers and unknowledgable players that can take the fun out of it.

I'm looking to get away from yahoo....I may join a league or two there if it stays free and might even be more interested if they put a little money entry fee to keep out the riff raff. I'm really looking for local leagues, money leagues and trophy leagues with serious players...something hard to find at yahoo.

Right. I guess I am just not a big fan of shelling out cash to play in a league.

I like Yahoo. You can get in public leagues with people you know with little hassle. When signups start alot of people draft as soon as possible. What you do is signup for the last week.Usually when you do this you will be in a league by yourself. Then tell the people you want to play with the specs. For example:Public league,H2H,Competitive,Live draft,The date,Time of day.It may take one or two times to get in the same league.Trust me,after getting in leagues with strangers a little work is worth it.Last year I was in a public league where half the owners were people i knew. And I didnt even know about this site.So Im sure we will be able to get at least one Cafe league at Yahoo!Stay Tuned!!!!

National Fantasy Football League Openings

Postby NFFL COMMISH » Sun Jun 01, 2003 3:03 pm

the NFFL is comprised of 12 teams, we have 2 openings as of right now. It is a well established league with very talented owners in it that has been solid for YEARS. We don't let just anyone in but I do pay the $90 a year for the very accomidating website where each owner can do just about everything they need to run their own team.

If you want to become an owner
1. you must live & love football
2. you must plan on participating on almost a daily basis
3. have a sense of humor (for the message board)

12 teams (yearly snake draft, head 2 head)
3 divisions of 4 teams
12 game season
weeks 13,14, are playoffs WK 15 our SUPERBOWL

contact me if you believe you deserve a spot!

You might draw more attention if you post the team roster and the web site.

Just a thought.

Good idea!
We have two league sites our league plays on Real Time Sports
http://rtsports.com/
account I.D.

Thats the team in question and our league site where we do our live draft, it has live scoring, a chat room, message board and loads of other features.
You can see all the teams roster at the following site
http:/terrybaumgardner.tripod.com/
We will tie this site to the rtsports site as the season draws nearer. It's just a fun site with helmets I've created for each team, thier stadiums, team info and thier Rosters. You can keep 3 players off nWo roster and we redraft the rest. Go in, look around let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for the advice.
