Do I have a legit complaint?

First off, the guy running our league forgot to hit the ready button for the draft so we missed the first week. But what I'm kind of pissed about is he changed the scoring right before he did hit it. He made yardage 20 yards rushing/receiving per point 50 passing per point. I've always played 10 and 25 per point. The way it is, touchdowns are really all that'll count. And on top of that, he had first pick and got Priest - the touchdown machine.

You cannot change the scoring after the draft...unless everyone agrees to it.

You definitely have a gripe.

Well, I think not hitting the "ready" button is just stupid. I don't think you can really complain about that...

About the scoring, did he do it after the draft or before it... Also, did he change it after he knew he had 1st pick? If he knew he had the first pick and/or changed it after the draft you definetely have something to complain about.

Hmm, you would think he would have consulted with the league before he did such a thing. I agree that it isn't right, but I don't know if there's really much you can do at this point.

Default Yahoo (crappy) scoring is indeed more TD weighted. If this was an autodraft, the commissioner has no way of getting himself a certain draft position. In that case, I wouldn't say anything. But, if he knew ahead of time that he would be #1, I would at least make a note that changing things at the last minute wasn't fair. But, once again, there's really nothing you can do now.

It was auto draft, so maybe he didn't know he'd be #1. But he set the scoring right before he hit the button. When I woke up the next day, I had a team. The problem was, I did my draft based on overall player skill, which isn't necessarily the guys who score the most touchdowns.

I sent out an email and everyone agreed the scoring sucked, so we changed it. Don't think the commish was happy about it, but at least it's fair now.
