RB dilemma for Week 2 -- Is C. Martin worth a start?

Postby joemomma » Thu Sep 12, 2002 11:07 am

Well I have a RB dilemma for week 2.

Here are my RB's

Ricky Williams (MIA) v. IND
Curtis Martin (NYJ) v. NE
Michael Pittman (TB) v. BAL
Jamel White (CLE) v. CIN

I will definately go with R. Williams, but I am unsure about my second RB. We can only start 2. Normally I go with Martin, but his status is questionable. Any Jets fans got any news on Martin??

I am leaning toward scratching Martin and starting Pittman, I really dont have many options here.

Do you forsee any good matchups here?

Thanks.............

I wouldn't start Martin even if he's going to play. He really looks like he's in pain, and LaMont Jordan may get most of the carries. I would start Pittman against a newly crappy Baltimore defense. White needs a few more weeks to establish himself.

id go with pittman this week because martin wont get the majority of the carries anyway this week especially near the goal line but IMO youll be playing white on matchups soon if martin doesnt get better but its not worth the risk of starting him now

Start Pittman this week due to C-Mart current injury.
