Honestly I'm surprised by this.

I'm all for optimism, and gee willikers I'd love to see my Hawks win the division. But do I think they will? No.

We have arguably the worst middle of the field defense in the league. Both our DT's are undersized and Bell isn't worth a crap at MLB. I HOPE that Ray Rhodes will be able to mask this weakness a lot more than our previous DC. We'll still be very suspect against the run. As bad as last year? Probably not. But I only say that because we were dead last, and we have nowhere to go but up.

The flip side to all this is our offense has another year underneath its belt. Another GOOD year at that. Alexander has been reported his reps are more north/south this season. Robinson is in year 3 and the game should be slowing down for him more. And Hasselbeck is turning into a veteran and less of a noobie.

But there's still the 9ers. and there is still the Rams. The difference will be who can win the divisional games...cause it's gonna be a tight race.

Only 3 leagues this year. No sense in rooting for everyone in the NFL.

Their Defense struggled last year, but really missed Anthony Simmons. He is a monster when healthy, and from what I understand is gonna be fresh this season. That should help alot. I actually drafted him relatively early in the GBL Ind. Def. draft in anticipation of a big year. But, I think they will be battling w/ the Rams this year for the top spot, with the Ram's having a slight edge. I'm pulling for the Hawks though.

Randle and Eaton may be undersized at 6-1 287 and 6-5 303(undersized?) for DTs.Thats why I like the addition of Norman Hand at 6-3 310 and the draft pick of Rashad Moore 6-3 324.As for Bell he was playing out of position last year. The starting MLB will either be Orlando Huff(my choice)or Isaiah Kacyvenski. As for A.Simmons,he came back for the last couple of games and Seattles run D improved greatly.I feel when healthy he is one of THE BEST LBs in the game today.Heck along with Portis he won my league for me.

dont get me wrong...the other 2 LBs are studs in their own right. Simmons is the man hands down. And we all know about Chad Brown by now.

As far as Norman Hand goes..if he plays 13 games this year its one of the best moves of the offseason by any team.

The question is...will he?
