Any reason not to pick Faulk at 14?

Hey guys,

Ya helped me with LDT as the 3rd pick in my keeper league...at the time, I asked if Faulk was risky with that pick...you were all right in going with LT/Ricky/Portis, because Marshall is still there and I have the 14th pick...would he now be a good pick at this spot?

Here's how the draft is looking so far...a couple questionable picks in there, I know

Other backs available include: Eddie George, Ahman Green, Fred Taylor, William Green, Corey Dillon.

This is a keeper league that will be 5+ yrs, weighted towards TD's, and passing TD's count for 6....the positions are QB, WR x3, RB x2, TE, K, DEF.

What an interesting draft !

Anyway, you did good taking LT and you cant go wrong taking Faulk with your 2nd pick.

Feel free to come back here for advice on each round, i'd like to see how this draft pans out.

I would definitely jump on Faulk and then email team 4 and laugh at him for NOT taking him. Just kidding.

Yeah...I wish I was in a draft right now. I would take Faulk right now, but I don't know why Travis Henry wasn't on your list of avalible backs. He is much better than some of the guys you listed. You will have a much nicer on-two punch than any other team so far if you take Faulk. Nice drafting in a crazy draft.

No doubt M.Faulk is a great pickup to line up with LDT. Nice start and keep us posted on how your draft progresses.

Definitely grab Faulk and laugh your way to the Championship....

Interesting to see Portis taken so late and to find that Hines went before Moss...I think he's going to regret that pick all year long.

My advice would be to wait on a QB until the 6th where you should still be able to grab a starter like Bledsoe or Brady...but then you'll have 3RBs and 2WRs or WR/TE...

I was definitely surprised about the Hines Ward pick (it was actually after Moss, but either way, it seems really early with the 13th pick).

Also, I completely forgot about Travis Henry...thx for the reminder!

So far, I really like Team 6. Team 8 looks good too. Not complaining about mine either of course with your help

I'll definitely continue to update as the draft progresses...my next pick is 5 spots away...I agree with your advice Nero, I'd like to wait until round 5 or 6 for my QB, especially with 8 teams in the league, and 3 went QB in the 1st round...I don't think any of those 3 teams will pick a backup QB anytime soon, leaving 5 teams to pick between QB's like Brooks, Manning, Bledsoe, Brady and Garcia..can't go wrong with any one of them if I can get them in the 6th round.

Now I'm just debating whether to grab a 3rd backup back and possibly use as trade bait down the road if necessary, or a solid WR like Moulds, Horn or Price...what do you guys think? Prolly should fill my needs at WR, eh?
