# 1 RB Sleeper

Postby The Guru » Mon May 26, 2003 5:53 pm

Stephen Davis
He will be a stud, just wait and see. He was a top 5 RB 2 years ago, and this will be his comeback year. Spurrier is a fool for not using him last year.
Now Davis goes to John Fox's Panthers. He is a defensive coach who want's a ball control offense, which is perfect for a big back like Davis. If you combine the #'s of what all the RB's did on Carolina last year, they add up 2 be very good. Lamar Smith was tearing up the league until he got hurt. Davis is twice the RB as Smith so he should do even better then the #'s he was putting up.
Carolina has a very good line, I have it ranked around 10 on my offensive lines list.

Now you know...use it well

Im not sure if it was the Spurrier influence but Davis sure seemed injury prone last year. I'd take him as my number 3 RB but thats it.

Yeah he had a few injuries last year, but nothing really serious that would carry over 2 this year.

i think he'll be a good number 2 running back for fantasy teams this year, but not enough to be a #1.
