Just wondering if anyone agrees with me that Martz and Holmgren both need to make the playoffs to keep their jobs.I know the Rams had injuries last year.I see the axe falling if they are healthy this year and dont make it to the big dance.I personally will give Holmy his walking papers if the Hawks dont make it!

Holmgren should have been fired last year.

Not that I THINK he needs to go, but 7 year plans just don't test well against an NFL fan's resolve. If this was an east coast scenario, he'd have been fired 2 years ago. Much less intolerance for mediocrity.

I agree with you about Holmgren. He needs a BIG year to stay put. But, Martz isn't going anywhere after this year. I think Martz makes some "questionable" decisions at the wrong times for sure. Image

But,

A. They are going to take the Division.

B. He is the mastermind who created the plays behind Greatest Show on Turf. Still one of the best offensive geniuses out there. This year he has enlisted an actual Offensive Coordinator to take some of the load off his shoulders.

C. I think he learned his lesson about last year. If Warner falters earlier (which I don't think he will...) Martz will pull the trigger much sooner for Bulger.

Just my .02
