Owens will skip the 49ers' voluntary passing camp this week for undisclosed personal reasons. Owens didn't tell new coach Dennis Erickson why he couldn't make it to the workouts, which began Wednesday. The camp, which concentrates on the Niners' offense, ends Friday. Erickson said he isn't worried about Owens falling behind the learning curve as the new coaching staff installs its variations on former coach Steve Mariucci's offense.

Fantasy Spin: Not exactly starting off on the right foot with the new coaching staff, eh, T.O.? This isn't anything to get too worried about, but check in to see if Owens remains AWOL on Monday, when the 49ers' final full minicamp begins.

This cant be a good thing just as the articule stated I guess Owens is showing his displeasure with the 9ers not ponying up the dough for a new contract

betcha he wouldda skipped even his they had ponied up.. thats just the way he works.. he'll be just as good this season and will show up whenever he feels the need to..
