What is up with T. Green?

I drafted him in the the 8th round and thought I had made the steal of the draft.....not so sure now. He only got me 4 points in week 1 and this week isn't looking much better! I know that losing Kennison early in the game didn't help matters much, but he needs to get the job done regardless!

This won't make you feel any better, but he started out slow last year too. I remember because I traded him around midseason just to watch him heat up.

I know it hurts to see your QB struggle, but he has faced 2 solid defenses, and I actually think this is a perfect time to buy him. He will recover and have a solid season.

Green is killing me. I think he will turn it around too, but I will be 0-5 by the time he does.

i traded him away lsat year too, the week before he blew up. one of all my trades that backfired last year.

I took Trent Green in the 4th round of my 12-team league and I plan on giving him about four more weeks worth of starts.


Here is a good strategy that encourages patience:

Flip your draft and use that order to determine how long of a leash you should give each player. I took Andre Davis in the 15th (final) round of my draft. Flipping things, I planned on giving him one week to prove himself before I even considered cutting him. My 14th pick has two weeks, 13th pick three weeks, 12th four weeks and so on. Although it is hard to always strictly adhere to this strategy (especially with positional needs), it is something to consider.

So, Trent Green has the first twelve weeks of the season to prove his worth to me. Depending on the strength of your backup QB, you should give Green about six weeks of starts before you start considering sending him to your bench. Thus, he is about ¼ of the way to earning a seat on my bench.

I feel the pain. No TD passes in 2 games!!! He is killing me too. I guess it is a little encouraging to know he started out slow last year. He needs to get it going, he has a lot of catching up to do for me in the next couple weeks!!
