Can anyone top this??!!

Postby dihall » Mon Sep 20, 2004 9:34 am

I know have 5...count them FIVE players who are injured on my team. Most of them are active players on my roster. What is up with that!! I guess I should just reserve myself to the fact that I will be ridin' last place this year!! I may have won this weekend, but it all depends on Moss tonight. I am up by 20 points with Winfield playing for me, but I don't know if that will hold up. He is the last place team in the other division, so I guess I was lucky this wee if I do win. Notice all my injured players below!! :-t WTF!!! (* injured)

Pennington, Brunnell *, Leftwich
LT2, Stephen Davis *, Barlow*, Tiki, J. Jones
Rod Smith, C. Wilson*, Stokely, Terrell (just sucks!! :-# ), Driver
Gonzalez, Heap*
Vinatieri
Grant, Thornton, Winfield, A. Archuleta
HELP ME PLEASE!!
Plays 1QB, 1RB, 1WR, 1TE, 3 Off. Flex, 1K, 3 D. Flex each game. Standard scoring for TDs, rushing and receiving yardage, minus for fumbles and int.

Sandbox league, non-keeper, automatic, single list draft, head-to-head, 10 team league

Well most of those injuries are still playable..

there's one owner in my league that has had the worst luck I have ever seen:

1. He had Ricky Williams as a keeper.
2. He drafted Joe Nedney.
3. He drafted Steve Smith.
4. He drafted Kellen Winslow.

In the DKL on the cafe we did an early draft.

First pick was Ricky... retired
Anquan in the third.. blown knee
Buckhalter later on... blown knee
Steve Smith... traded him 2 weeks ago... of course I traded him and Edge for Deuce and Toomer... Deuce...GONE

My starting running backs in week 3 will be Gordon and Tiki. Argghhh

I expected to see that you had Steve Smith, Charles Rogers, Kellen Winslow, and Deuce mcCalister on your Roster. Most of the players on your Roster will miss littler or no time, and the rest you wouldn't want to start anyway. Stop Whining, use the Waiver wire and get over it. It is nice to have no injuries, and I am not saying the team with the fewest injuries doe not have an added advantage. However minor injuries to second tier players can be overcome.

A little harsh kevster!! :-t Just a little frustrated after seeing all the injuries. I know most will not keep them out. I have combed the waiver wire and tried trading with my stingy league mates to no avail. This is supposed to be a forum to vent, right?!!! Aren't I allowed to do that? :-[ I think I saw you whinning about Edge...right?

Edge is now the greatest. Thing change, and I hope the worm tuns for you. I was a litlle harsh, but I would be less concernd with Stephen davis's injury than the fact that their will be a RB by committe approach when he does return. Oh and by the way Sorry. :-D

No Problem! :-) Just needed to vent. :-° We all need to occasionally. I still think Edge is overrated, but who am I. Good luck! I agree about the Davis thing, it makes me nervous and since this d#$%ed auto draft gave me all RBs and no WRs, I really need him. None of the guys in my league will trade or drop anyone who is any better than who I already have. Just a little frustrating. Good luck this week! Hope Edge is better than I think! :-)

If it helps Di, I don't think that Barlow is going to miss any time. And I can relate to a much lesser degree. I lost S Smith, Nedney and Winslow in one of my leagues and Rogers in another. I am starting to wonder if the NFL will have enough players to finish the season at this rate. And they suspend people for lifestyle infractions :-° What are they thinking? With all of the weekly carnage, the NFL is not wholesome family programming. Sorry about the micro rant.

I agree Moochman!! I am lucky in the fact that I didn't loose anyone long term like Smith or Winslow. Sorry to hear about your luck. It's good to have a place to vent this year! ;-D Good luck this weekend!
