He claims it was for batting practice and it got "mixed-up" with his other bats. My question is this: why even have a corked bat at all? Even for batting practice? How's that going to help you at all, especially since you can't use it in a game.
It doesn't make sense to me. It's like a hockey goalie wearing enormously oversized pads in practice. He just stands there blocking every shot thinking "man I'm great, nobody can score on me". Well how does this help him? He can't use those pads in a game.
Can anyone explain to me why they would even use a corked bat, even in practice? Is it easier on your hands, less vibration or something?
