High-priced tight end Mark Bruener was anticipated to be released for salary cap relief, but he remains on the roster...for now. According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the Steelers would save $2,050,000 by releasing him and they still need to shave cap room to sign their rookies.

In other words, don't get too comfortable in the Steel City, Mr. Bruener. The Steelers are stacked at tight end, so Mark's release appears inevitable.
