IR Spot for Yahoo??

Postby mrmarley » Sat Jun 07, 2003 10:34 am

I'm having a friendly argument, and my statement is that yahoo football doesn't give the option of placing someone on the IR in an actual IR position. (like baseball DL, and basketball IR spots)

They say they did that exact thing last yr.

Who is correct? Thanks in advance!

I think you are right. I've been playing Yahoo fantasy football for the last four years and we have never had an IR. It may be a commissioner's option, but I don't think so. They have it on baseball, but I don't think football.

yahoo automatically updates players status to IR, OUT etc. Ive not seen it as a player option. Unless its a keeper league thing ?

i dont think there is one either. is it because injured football players hardly ever go on the ir? unless they are out for the season... thats what i always thought.

Thanks guys, that's what I also though. Since IR is out for the season, Yahoo figures what's the point of an IR spot...

My friend insists he was able to last yr. I was in two private leagues though, and don't remember having that as an option when setting it up even for the one that I commished.

It would be helpful for a keeper league though. We'll find out in July (August?) I guess ;-D
