I think he's a good play with Denver's schedule being pretty weak. Maybe Bell will see touches later on but I think Griffin will be the man for the most part all year.

I love Q-tip against slow side-to-side defenses (KC), and whenever he plays on turf. I think he will lose some carries to Bell as the season goes on, but will remain the primary ball carrier.

The real test for Q-Tip will be late season and playoff games in bad weather, where RBs have to grind out tough yards between the tackles. I don't see him as being very successful in this type of setting.
Vengeance is mine.

What the hell just happened in the middle of this thread? Was that a Cowboys fan playing kissy face with a Redskins fan? WTF is this world coming too? Cats and dogs, living together..... 8-o

The closer to the start of the season the higher he was drafted. In my league that drafted the day before the season started he went in the 3rd round, so he wasn't a bargan pickup for a lot of people. In all the mock drafts, and other league drafts I did this year, I never saw him fall to the 7th round. Consider yourself lucky.

LOL. I noticed that too. I like it though. After all, isn't geography the only thing that usually separates one fan from another? I think it's silly when two people who love a sport and have something in common hate each other because they happen to root for their team's rival. It also bothers me when fans are rude to the visiting team or fans. They are your guest. Treat them like it, you know?

mass hysteria! (Ghostbusters was cool) :-)

Hard to say anyone is a bust after two games unless they are out for the year or a large amount of time with an injury. Rogers was a "bust," Smith might be a "bust," but to say Griffin is a "bust" because he got stopped by a team who has played 17 straight games without allowing a 100 yard rusher...that's just ludicrous.

I think he'll be a nice #2 as long as Shanahan gives him the ball. I still don't understand the "Bell will come in later" comments...what has Griffin done wrong to deserve a decrease in carries? Just because Bell was a high draft pick doesn't mean they'll shove him in there the first year. If they're out of the playoffs, maybe; but why ruin any sort of chemistry late in the year just because you have to run this rookie for a game or two? Are you Bell owners still trying to justify your picks.... :-? :-)

i really think the "bell in a few weeks" thing comes from people confusing the real world and the FF world. Head coaches aren't playing Madden out there. Just cause some has 90 SP and 90 AGI doesn't mean he's a must play... things like reading D, and picking up blitzers, finding soft spots in zones... that is what gets RBs on the field... it is not just pure running ability.

Having said that, yea it is just a matter of value how you percieve Qtip. In a draft I had a month out, I got Brown in the 9th and TJones in the 8th. A few weeks later the guy who got both took them in the 4th and 5th... and I think he got a deal still! One bad game against a good D doesn not a bust make...

Made me puke in my morning cup of coffee, that Cowboys-Skins intercourse. I'm gonna go pick on some Dolphins fans.

Q is definitely not a bust. Nor will he bust. He is the starting RB for the Broncos, which starting RB for them hasnt produced big? And Griffin is a very talented runner, better than Olandis Gary and Mike Anderson. At minimum, he will get 1300 rush yards and 10+ TDs. Unless he gets hurt. The people that think that Bell will take over sometime in the season are just kidding themselves.

I was able to get Q-Tip in the 14th round of my 7 team league, so theres no way he can be considerred a bust for me. As long as he can hold off Bell and keep the starting job, he will put up huge numbers with Denver's o-line and system.
