Injuries, Injuries, Injuries...should rosters be bigger?

Postby CinemaFreak » Fri Sep 24, 2004 2:06 pm

Ok, I have Edge and Rhodes, thank god, and have dodge the first injury bullet. However, you are never safe. So I am in a 12 man league with 14 roster spots. We start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 WR/RB, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DEF.

So the question is, "What should be the roster size in regards to the league size and starters?"

14 roster spots is plenty for a team where you start 9. The whole idea behind having a limited bench in fantasy is to force owners to make the tough decisions. With attractive options on the WW it makes things more interesting.

BobbyG, who's the "fluke" ring for in your avatar?

Also, to answer to question at hand...keep the roster size the way it is. It's more challenging.

Agreed it should stay the way it is. I grabbed R Wayne after week 1 when someone dropped him and will prob get a couple of more prospects that way. But if you dont have to keep 2 K and 2 D then it should be plenty of space.

We have roster size of 16 and we start 8.

Seems reasonable. You can still get good guys off the wire (like Dom Davis and Steve Smith for me last year).
