What is wrong with Couglin?

Postby gtgrad95 » Fri Sep 24, 2004 3:54 pm

I just don't understand it. The loser carries 9 times for 12 yards and he still says this:

Head coach Tom Coughlin also told the team's official web site that he aims to continue having Dayne and Tiki Barber split carries. "I think if we can keep the combination going, it would be a good thing," Coughlin said. "Our production would be better and it would be better for both players. So I would like to be able to keep both of them in the mix."

Who the h*ll is he kidding? Why does he still insist on using Dayne? Has he grown senile at an early age? I think he is basically writing himself out of NY after this year. Why the fascination with him?

Oh, I'm a Tiki owner, hence the frustration...

Two heads are better than one, especially since Tiki isn't an every down back. I still believe in Dayne. (I'm a Dayne owner) :-b

The guy's nuts, it's that simple. He's pretty much getting the boot for next year unless we (the Giants) have a winning season.

Hes the big talking coach thats really tough on his players. Usually these guys have results but he hasn't really gotten his teams anywhere. I don't think he will take the Giants anywhere either.

Fining players for being 2 DAMN MINUTES EARLY will get him nowhere. I don't see his tough guy approach helping.

Apparently Fassel was too soft on them, and the NYG organization wanted to bring in a hard-ass to try to get the team in line.

T.C. is exactly what the Giants needed although I agree his love affair with Dayne-for-no-gain is a little odd.

If you follow the Giants closely there are a ton of nuances about this team that have already been improved. Do you think we see all those turnoves against Washington under Fassel? Not a chance.

Yeah, that's true. Even though most of the players probably hate him, they know if they make a mistake they're gonna "pay" for it. (Literally :-b )
