Vick to Price looking Sharp.

Postby Guttpuppy » Mon Jun 09, 2003 5:37 pm

From atlantafalcons.com...

Amongst other practice notes, QB Michael Vick appeared to be in mid-season form, showing unmatched accuracy on short, midrange and deep passes. WR Peerless Price, running quick, clean, crisp routes and catching the ball away from his body, impressed in his first practice as a Falcon.

I swear somewhere around the cafe there was a report saying price was having trouble catching the balls thrown by Vick, lot more spin and power than he was used to...or something like that.

Dug this up...left-handed passes...hmm.

Peerless Price - WR, Atlanta Falcons May 30, 11:43 a.m.
After sharing the lead role in Buffalo with Eric Moulds, Price is expected to be the go-to man in Atlanta. Price is not shying away from that pressure or the expectations that go with the role. Price says he is shooting for 100 catches, 1,400 yards receiving and at least 10 touchdown catches. Price is the only Falcons receiver who knows his role entering training camp. Price already has been working with quarterback Michael Vick as the two develop chemistry and Price adjusts to the different spin from the lefthander’s passes. Price says this is the first time he has played with a lefthanded quarterback, so even before passing camp he has spent a lot of time on the field catching passes from Vick. Price does not expect the different spin on the ball to be a problem. (Charles Odum/TSN)

It could be reported that Price drops half his passes in camp, Someone is still gonna draft him top 6 WR in your league.

Top 6? I totally disagree. There was a big forum on Top 5 WR within the last couple of weeks, and Price did not come up nearly as often as about 10 other guys. In no particular order:

Harrison, Owens, Moss, Moulds, Horn, Ward, Burress, Boston, Robinson, Holt, and Toomer all got more press. In a mock draft I'm doing right now, Price went 18th among WR, although that was a little low.
