Titans free safety robbed of car at gunpoint
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) _ Tennessee Titans free safety Lance Schulters was robbed of his Mercedes at gunpoint Monday.
Nashville police said Schulters, 28, had just reached his car, parked on the side of a restaurant, when a gunman approached from around a corner. The gunman pointed his pistol at Schulters and cocked the hammer, but did not speak.
Schulters immediately dropped the keys and retreated to the front of the restaurant. The gunman took the car and fled. Schulters was not hurt.
Schulters signed with Tennessee as an unrestricted free agent before the 2002 season. Before joining the Titans, he played four years with the San Francisco 49ers.
