Lelie to Start???

Postby Guttpuppy » Thu Jun 12, 2003 2:10 pm

From rockymountainnews.

Wide receiver Ashley Lelie: With Ed McCaffrey choosing to take the cautious route while recovering from hernia surgery by not working against defensive backs the past week, Lelie was able to work almost exclusively with the first unit and rediscover the comfort zone he had begun to find at the tail end of his rookie season. Lelie looked exceptionally smooth in his route running and pass-catching. Should he continue on an upswing, McCaffrey might find it difficult to get back his starting spot.

I'd have to agree Slow. From reading the Denver websites daily, it's looking pretty sweet for Lelie this year. Eddie Mac will fill in nicely at the #3 spot. Think this year's Jerry Porter.
