QB TD HOF (answered)

Postby Poobah » Thu Jun 12, 2003 3:40 pm

Okay, got another one:

1) Of the members of the Hall of Fame listed solely at quarterback, who threw the fewest TD passes?

2) Okay, now, more recently, which QB, playing exclusively since the end of the two-way player and the formation of the AFL (1960), amassed the fewest TD passes?

asking #2 kinda tells ya #1 won't be the easiest. Someone might not even find it the first time they look it up. You know who you are

;-D

Bob Griese is incorrect.

Sorry 'bout the duplicate.

I'll try Roger Staubach on this one.
Didn't play all that long, and had some real good RBs while he did.

By the way, just for elucidation, the answer to #1 is not who I thought it was. I had thought Otto Graham, being that between 1946-1949 he played in the AAFC, before the Browns were incorporated into the NFL. However, of his total 174 passes, he threw enough between 1950-1955 to finish ahead of the person who is the answer to #1. I have a hint for #1 if anyone wants it.

Gotta give up for Rosey! Answer #2 is Bart Starr and his 152 TD passes. Staubach had 153 :)
