Any arguements agaisnt Manning?

Postby goleafsgo96 » Sun Sep 26, 2004 4:13 pm

I know i COULD take this over to the chat, but i want everybody to hear this. I know this is just 1 game, but Peyton Manning IS without a doubt the best QB in the NFL right now, and he is proving why.

My argument against Manning:

He's not throwing all those TDs to Harrison.

Apart from that, not really.

You could argue for Manning, but you have to make a case for Culpepper (fantasy-wise):

73 for 100, 73% Comp, 945 Pass yds, 8 Pass TD's, 1 INT, 81 Rush yds, 1 Rush TD

this is a classic football knowledge-less statement. So i reply with this:

Switch Manning with Brady for the 2003 and 2001 seasons, and Manning has 2 rings, Brady has none.

Its called Defense... the other side of the ball.

Yeah and f@*king Green Bay has no defense! Manning beats up on crap defenses and then gets worked over in the playoffs by good defenses.

This is making me sick the amount of TD's Manning is getting. Even worse is how those announcers just cant stop sucking Manning's c@*k, I mean how many times do I have to hear that Chris Collinsworthless gets up at 5 am to see Manning throwing around a rolled up sock before practice and it gives old CC a friggin woody. Or Aikman talk about Manning being the most fun to watch, hmm... lemmie see lets put together a decimated defense that was pitiful against the pass before the injury bug bit and then add in great WR's, RB, TE's and play at home. Any QB of the Brady, Culpepper, Hassleback eshelon would equal Peyton's numbers today in his place.

Can you tell Im playing against manning this week? To say nothing of my opponant who is painfully avg. without these ridiculous 50+ fantasy point days from P.manning and gets a Tiki Barber TD that shouldnt have been called.
