Green To Gonzalez again - Ooops!

Postby spodog » Mon Sep 27, 2004 10:43 am

Trent Green lobbing the ball gently into the endzone to a double-covered Tony Gonzalez from the 7 yard line. This brilliant play ended with the Texans intercepting in the end zone and running the ball back 102 Yards for the score that became the difference in the ball game.

Last Year: 9-0 out of the gates
This Year: 0-3.

Ugh!

starting D. Davis and not C. Brown. Davis against the KC defense and Brown against Jax defense. i thought it was a pretty solid decision. Thank God the rest of my team blew up.

I almost made a HUGE goof:

I had Brown and Barlow starting Sunday morning until I heard the news that Priest was going to play (so I, of course, am starting him over either of these two, hurt or not), so then I have to make a decision between the two for the #2 spot - I was deciding against Brown because of the matchup, but when my fiance walked into the room I asked her "Who would you start?" (she knows nothing btw) and she said "Chris Brown... isn't he a kicker?" LOL, I said, "No, the other Chris Brown - you know, the RB that ran for over 200 yds on us [the Horns] in the Big 12 three years ago?" - she said, "Oh, him, well - start him" - and I ended up winning my first game by 1 POINT b/c of that... I guess I owe her...

DD.

I had high expectations (and was finally protected against his fumbles as my def is KC -- note in defense of my defense: my league hogs defs and I couldn't find anyone better on WW for this week)
