Moe Williams now that O Smith out?

Postby monkey69 » Mon Sep 27, 2004 5:54 am

Hey all,

With the usual mess of Minnesota's RBBC.
Now that O. Smith will be serving a four-game suspension - how wil Moe Williams be utilized?
Will he approach his numbers from last year?

No. They have a bye next week, and then Bennett is back. Moe is playing very sparingly right now, and I think it'll remain that way, unless Bennett goes down (again).

If Williams and Bennett are both healthy, it'll probably be like last year where Moe leached all his TDs with the goal line carries.

Well, two completely different opinions here - further discussion?
Trying to decide if should drop Moe Williams and find a WR or collect QB on the bench for trade bait. WE're in a 14 team league where RB are definitely a commodity (that's the only reason I have not dumped Moe Williams already)

I always play in larger leagues and do everything I can to hoard the running back position. I would hold onto him if you don't need anything else. If its like my league, there really isn't anyone worth picking up left. I would keep Moe on the bench for no other reason than you don't want another team to have him. You never know, he is a good back and may put up some numbers. Just my 2cents

Try to hold off until after week 5. The ViQueens might want to ease Bennett back into game speed and Moe could see signicant time. He should do well, he always has, and then his trade value will be more.
