You say wonder-bust Thomas Jones will become a stud, and against all logic he actually does.

You hate on Dom Davis, and my boy goes down with an ankle injury and fumblitis, costing me this week's game.

You hate on Julius Jones, and he goes down for the year.

Why do you have to be so right about everything? And do you have any stock market tips?

Cornbread rocks... I just sent him the following PM, after he suggested I play the Seattle defense this week over MIA and TEN:

Written by Plindsey88 to Cornbread Maxwell:

Awesome advice...

Playing the Seattle defense this week saved my team... Well, that and Manning...

I had:

Manning
Coles
J. Smith
Edge
Griffin
Rhodes
McMichael
Feely
Seattle

...starting this week... Going into 1/2 time of the Colts game, I was having a huge day from Manning, but Rhodes did nothing (and ended with 0 points), Edge had 1-2 points... Griffin finished with 2 points... Smith put up 5... Feely didn't do much...

The guy I was playing started Brooks, Holt, Stecker, and Akers... All had big games...

I was SERIOUSLY worried...

My league does not award points for defenses based on points allowed unless it is a shutout (10 point bonus)...

In any case, my RB crew ended with an average of 5 points per back, so I figured I was screwed, barring a huge day from Coles tonight, but when I logged in this morning and saw the shutout by Seattle, coupled with the huge day from Manning, I realized that I am up 4, with myself having Coles, and my opponenet having the Dallas D to play...

Win or lose, your advice kept me from getting blown out... Seattle scored 21 points for me...

Thanks...

Ah, I wasn't checking up on HIM. Just checking on his football sense. ;) Now I am seeing where he gets all his info which makes him sound so very up on his game. And, all this time I just thought he had it like that. :-o

yeah, I know.

0-3 in the Cafe Challenge
1-2 in the MIKL
2-1 in the RSFFL
2-1 in Fantasy All Stars
3-0 in Cafe Fantasy Studs
2-1 private $$$ league

Ya win some, ya lose some.

The accomplishment Im proudest of over the last yr have to be over on the Darkside - the Baseball Cafe Challenge league - sitting in 2nd with that group is much better than I hoped for. Erboes downright dominated it though - from start to almost finish. If there was one guy who really really impressed me with his BBall knowledge this yr - it had to be Erboes. Too bad he isnt giving out his advice for free anymore.

Also - the Baseball Pick 3 - 2 weeks left, just hope I dont jinx myself. :-o

I have gotten quite lucky so far on a number of calls Ive made this preseason in football ;-D
