Lamar Gordon likely out for season

Postby greenman » Mon Sep 27, 2004 4:36 pm

Update: Gordon is likely out for the season after suffering a dislocated left shoulder in Sunday's game, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.

Recommendation: Gordon will reportedly receive a second medical opinion before undergoing surgery, but this doesn't look good at all. If Travis Minor and Sammy Morris remain out, as they were in Week 3, Leonard Henry would get the start against the Jets on Sunday.

I'm going to pick up Larry Johnson on a hunch. It may be unlikely but I have heard the Fins have a linebacker to deal so it can't hurt to stash him away in hopes of getting lucky. Either way the Chiefs will probably move Johnson at some point this season.

I am absoulutely tapped. Is there any sleepers I should know about for my 5th RB? I have Taylor, Dillon, Pittman, M Williams, Gordon. Toefield is still out there, should I handcuff? Its a 5 keeper 12 team league btw.

So who is about to take the starting gig in Miami? Morris or Minor? Henry didn't look that great running for like 2 yards per carry...

Well, there's a reason that Leonard Henry started out with the practice squad this year...

The only reason Henry was actually promoted to the team is due to the injuries suffered by Miami's other RBs. I don't really know why anyone would want one of their RBs at this point, but if I had to guess, I'd say it's a RBBC with Minor/Morris.

I wouldn't go picking up Larry Johnson hoping for a trade, either. This season has become a lost cause for the Dolphins... why would Miami waste even more draft picks?

If they do go looking for outside help, I'd be looking at free agents they were reportedly interested in. Maybe Lamar Smith?

Yikes. I was relying on him for bye weeks in my 18 team league.

I was wrong. He was worse.... ;-D
