Ritchie out, fantasy aspect?

Postby minnystud04 » Mon Sep 27, 2004 6:37 pm

Todd Ritchie is out for the year with a torn ACL. How will this affect Brian Westbrook's stats for the year? Will his numbers suffer w/o a true fullback? I think they are splitting fb duties with 2nd year Thomas Tepah and Dorsey Levens.

I can smell Mc9an with his bold prediction how McNabb will come back to earth. Just wait.
... in my opinion, of course - but that should always go without saying.

Westbrook makes a good enough WR and the Eagles can do plenty of damage fielding LJ Smith, TO, Pinkston, Mitchell, and Westbrook in case their other fullbacks are inadequate that I suspect this injury won't hurt the offense. Shaun Andrews was a bigger concern.

His numbers (rushing) will go down watch some of the games Ritchie makes 90% of the blocks to spring Westbrook

Since Westbrook is more of a speed rather than a power back, the loss of JON Ritchie I think will impact him more. If the FB doesnt get a good block, Westbrook wont have room to run, and he wont be running through to many LBs.

I think this is gonna have a huge effect on Westbrook. Now they are without their best fullback. Who is Richie's replacement, if anyone?

They were already leery about running Westbrook up the middle because of his small size and the lack of running back depth combining for an injury risk. He will be forced to continue to only run outside or wait for small dump passes.

Westbrook has not scored a touchdown yet this year. This might be a good time to sell him while his stock is fairly high. What would be a good player to try to trade Westbrook for? How high in value of a player do you think I could receive?
