I need a fill in WR for an upcoming bye. Besides Porter, do you know who may emerge now that Collins is starting? Whats up with this guy Curry? 2 td's so far...thank you

I don't know Ronald Curry is an athlete and my sources in Oakland say that the coaching staff loves him - I expect more out of him as the season goes on. I just recently picked him up and have him stashed behind Randy, THolt, and McCareins ...

Finally, some quality, homer-less, advice. Gj.

Anyway, I'm not a Raider fan (have the avatar 'cause logo is cool ;-) ) but it's hard to tell who they'll be throwing too. My guess would be Curry since he's done good for them so far, but I wouldn't count out Gabriel for some receptions too.

My choice would probably be Curry over Gabriel though because he's done better so far.

I'm a raider fan. To answer your question I would guess Gabriel.
Gabriel and K.Collins seem to have very good chemistry. They practiced together all of training camp because they were both on the second team. They tore it up together the little time they were on the field during preseason. I see Gabriel becoming the #2 receiver as far as production even if he doesn't start. He will be splitting time with rice and curry though, and possibly with with whitted but to a far lesser degree. Gabriel is faster and more of a deep threat, that's another reason that I would give him the nod.

Porter
Rice
Curry
Gabriel

From what I gathered that appears to be the pecking order in Oaktown. I wouldn't wanna rely on anyone but Porter, but if you are in a deep league I suppose the other guys wouldn't be terrible pickups.

I don't think any of the receivers will emerge as a FF starter other than Porter. They rotate Rice, Curry, Gabriel, and Whitted continually throughout the game. I agree that Gabriel is the most likely to emerge as a consistent producer. I liken the situation to NE receivers. Week to week it will be a different guy.
As for Curry, he seems to be picking up WR pretty well for a guy who was a QB in HS/college. He was rated right up there with Micheal Vick coming out of HS. Was also a McDonalds All American BBall player and played point guard at NC. So he is a hell of an athlete. Whether or not he develops into a good NFL WR remains to be seen but he is looking good so far. Sorry if this was a regurgitation of prior info.

Jerry Porter is the only one that will really benenfit from Collins replacing Gannon...
